Connecting external cameras on iPad

iPad only. Lympik Recorder supports external cameras via HDMI capture devices like the Elgato Cam Link 4K - perfect for professional camcorders or broadcast setups.

To use an external camera:

1. Connect your HDMI capture device to your iPad's USB-C port
2. Connect your camera's HDMI output to the capture device's HDMI input
3. Open Lympik Recorder - the external camera is detected automatically
4. Tap the camera switcher to select the external camera
5. Record as usual

Supported formats: Up to 1080p at 60 fps. External cameras always record in landscape orientation.

Notes:

• iPad OS 17 or newer is required

• Not available on iPhone or Android

• The external camera preview may show a slightly different aspect ratio than the phone camera
